A sheath style is a simple, sophisticated option.
Shannon Starcher of La Bella Sposa Salon, offers tips for choosing the most fabulous gown at a fabulous price.

Be an Informed Bride Before Shopping:

    • Custom gowns that are ordered to your measurements can take 6-9 months to arrive from the designer/manufacturer.

    • A reputable dealer will offer a contract with specifics listed: price paid; terms of payment; the designer and style of the dress; estimated arrival time at the salon.

    • Many salons offer payment plans or significant discounts to brides who pay up-front. Many offer fifty-percent down, with 50-percent due on delivery. Others offers a payment plan.

Saving Money on Your Dream Gown:

    • Buy an off-the-rack or sample gown.

    • Restore an heirloom gown.

    • Find a simple satin or polyester gown, then add your own embellishments.

    And Remember ...

    • Although shopping for your dream gown can be stressful, Starcher says it's important to always remember what the day is really about, and to have fun with shopping!

    • Finally, don't forget to budget for accessories, a headpiece and veil and lingerie.
