Note: Try moving your mouse pad over your fabric (smooth fabric will work best) to make sure the mouse will work well with the fabric.- Trace mouse pad onto unfinished side of fabric with a marker. Cut this about 1" larger than the mouse pad with pinking shears (figure A).
- Go outside and glue top of the mouse pad with spray on adhesive in a well-ventilated area. Follow all manufacturers' safety instructions.
- Place the fabric, right side up, on the top of the mouse pad and smooth it out. Make sure there are no air bubbles in the material.
- Fold the edges over the pad and then glue the edges to the backside of mouse pad with fabric glue (figure B).
- Measure trim to go around mouse pad and cut.
- Turn the mouse pad over and glue edging to the mouse pad. Don't butt the fabric up edge to edge -- turn it in slightly so that the frayed edges will not show (figure C).
- For the final touch, glue a decorative button (or jewelry charm) where the two edges of the trim meet (figure D).
