Simply use different colors of iridescent paint ...
    PHOTO

... to achieve a variety of colors and the look you desire.
Cheryl Ball shares her technique for using paint and foil to create iridescent glass pieces.

    Materials:

    Surface conditioner
    Iridescent glass paint
    Eyeglass pieces
    24-gauge gold wire
    6 small glass pebbles
    Small flat brush
    Cardboard
    Masking tape
    Paper towels
    Leather cording
Assorted filler beads in desired colors
    Toothpicks
    Cotton swabs
    Scissors
    Wire cutters
    Needled nose pliers
    Craft knife

    1. Cover a piece of cardboard with the foil. Attach the all the glass pieces to the foil with a rolled up piece of masking tape, making sure they are level.

    2. Use brush to apply the surface conditioner to the top of the glass pieces following label instructions. Allow to dry.

    3. Unscrew the lids of the iridescent glass paint, remove the liners from the bottles and replace caps.

    4. Squeeze the paint into small sections on the glass piece, filling the surface with small puddles of color. Do not overfill the glass surface -- if this happens, remove excess paint with a cotton swab. Use the toothpick to swirl the paint to desired look. Avoid overmixing of colors, then allow to dry.

    5. Squeeze a drop of each color on the top of the glass pebble and let drip down the sides, add more as needed to cover the surface. After about 10 minutes, carefully move the glass pebbles to another area on the foil – this will let they dry with less build up of paint underneath. Allow to dry.

    6. Use the craft knife to carefully scrape the dried paint from the edges of the glass pebbles.
Use the needle nose pliers to carefully bend back the stem of each eyepiece forming a loop.
To create the hangers for the pebbles, start by cutting a 4" piece of wire. Bend in half, and then twist ends together close to the bend to create the small loop. Cut off excess leaving about 1/2"of the twisted wire. Make enough for all glass beads. Apply a small amount of the glass glue to the back of the pebble and press the hanger in place. Allow to dry.

    7. Cut a 4" piece of the gold wire. Thread through the leaf. Use the needle nose pliers to create a small swirl at the base of the leaf, and a larger one at the top. Set aside.

    8. Next, string the glass pieces, glass pebbles and beads onto the leather string. Add a dot of glue on the leather string for extra hold of the larger glass pieces. Position the leaf beads in place on the glass pieces, apply a dot of glass glue to the back of the beads and press in place to secure. Determine length of necklace and tie ends together.
